JJE 15,000Nm 2-Speed Electric Beam Axle for Commercial Vehicle
JJE's latest offering is a testament to its commitment to innovation and excellence. The 2-speed electric beam axle is engineered for high torque and high vehicle speed, with minimal power degradation at high vehicle speed, which are significant advantages over single-speed system. The electromagnetic shift is faster than hydraulic shift, and the bi-stable shift clutch mechanically prevents axle from loss of output.
JJE 2-Speed Electric Beam Axle features multiple advanced component technologies
The axle's 2-speed functionality provides high launch torque and efficiency across broad operating range, which also enhances the motor's reliability and durability by reducing motor's high speed operation. The improved efficiency helps reduce thermal loading of the system, which contributes to the system's durability.
This electric beam axle uses JJE's high efficiency hairpin motor, and Silicon Carbide inverter integrated on the axle. The motor and inverter are designed to withstand high shock and vibration. A 15,000Nm bi-stable electromagnetic differential locker(1) provides safest and uncompromised axle output assurance under adverse traction conditions. The system also features an electric park lock system. The inverter controls the 2-speed gearbox, oil pump, eLocker and park lock, which make all subsystem controls under highest level of functional safety and cyber security.
(1) JJE debuted industry's first bi-stable electromagnetic clutch at 2022 Berlin CTI and bi-stable eLocker at 2023 US CTI.
