Changchun, China, September 29, 2021： Since the establishment of a strategic partnership in 2017, the FAW Group and Jing-jin Electric (JJE) have strengthened the collaboration for both the Hongqi brand and the Jiefang brand on new energy vehicle drive systems, with production and R&D projects covering the Hongqi battery-electric and hybrid passenger vehicles and Jiefang battery-electric and hybrid commercial vehicles.

Today,  under the theme of "E-Start a Blue Journey to Create and Enjoy the Future", FAW Jiefang New Energy Strategy Release and New Energy Business Unit Commencement was held in Changchun. The ceremony fully demonstrates FAW Jiefang’s embrace of the "dual-carbon" strategy and its ambition to promote new energy commercial vehicles.  Advocated by FAW Jiefang, the Strategic Alliance for Development of New Energy Commercial Vehicles was formally established. JJE signed an agreement to be part of the Strategic Alliance. The collaboration partners will synergize in brand advantages, technologies and products, business model innovation, market promotion, knowledge sharing, and strategic communication. The partners will jointly develop and launch a range of new energy vehicles such as electric sanitation trucks, electric dump trucks, heavy-duty tractor trucks, and battery-electric urban light delivery trucks.
